Definition of New Entrant

A New Entrant is an individual who has been operating a farm business for less than five years and has not previously owned a commercial farm operation. They must demonstrate an investment in agricultural activities, such as acquiring land, purchasing equipment, or implementing infrastructure to support future production. This definition aligns with the Sustainable Canadian Agricultural Partnership (SCAP) guidelines.

Volunteer Hour Barter System:

As part of our efforts to support our members and maintain equipment, the LAA has implemented a volunteer-based barter system for equipment use. Members may exchange 4 hours of volunteer work for one full day of equipment rental. This initiative helps improve accessibility while keeping resources in good condition for all. *
